Le 26 juillet, un représentant de l'agence de Chansung, L'July Entertainment, a déclaré : « La femme de Hwang Chansung a récemment donné naissance à un enfant. La mère et l'enfant sont en bonne santé.

Chansung a fait ses débuts en 2008 en tant que membre de 2PM. Après 15 ans chez JYP Entertainment, Chansung a quitté l'agence et a signé un contrat exclusif avec L'July Entertainment en mars pour continuer ses activités d'acteur.
